Abstract

The current threat to global health is the respiratory disease called Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19), which is affected by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-Cov 2). Coronaviruses are covered, single? Do stranded RNA viruses infect lung alveolar epithelial cells of humans and a wide variety of animals through angiotensin? Converting enzyme II (ACE2) entry receptors. The essential four structural proteins of this virus are included spike (S), envelope (E), membrane (M), and nucleocapsid (N), which have a role in pathogenesis and disease transmission. Direct contacts and respiratory droplets are the fundamental way to transmit the disease. The clinical sign of COVID-19 alters by asymptomatic until severe respiratory failure. In this review, epidemiology, transmission, clinical indication, genetic diversity, prevention and control, and illness diagnosis were explained. This is an effort to expand the level of individual and social awareness against covid-19 infection and to present the most convenient way of protecting.
